The Finished Line

The best line in my studio, is the one made from string, pinned from wobbly bookshelf-to-bookshelf.
Rather than have the completed pages of art on my rubbish tip floor or in overstuffed folders, i like to peg them up. It's a quick and easy way to scan and grab, and stops me bending my poor back so much.
But most of all, it's a massive morale booster walking into the room and seeing 22 pages of FINISHED art looking back at ya.

Channel Evil #2 is done and gone and in the hands of letterer Jamie Grant.

Praise the lord! And pass me the whisky...

Stark sharp expressive, and brilliant.
Some great scary stuff, but the park scene's beautiful.

CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!

Although I don't have pages pegged to a line, I do frequently blutack pages to the walls and bookshelves around the studio... so that, like you, I can give myself a little boost seeing an issue take shape around me.

The pages you've included here are all absolutely phenomenal and display new heights in your already astonishing talent.

Well done mate!!!!

I love your Skulls, what a panel, glorious!

What Neil said! Don't photographers peg pix on a line? I know Dave Sim used to have his pages tacked to a wall so he could see the progress.

paul - thanyou for the praise.

among the skulls, dead bodies and gore, i REALLY enjoyed drawing the two page park scene. think i was yearning for summer....

bucky - cheers, mate! does feel amazingly good finally sending it to alexander.
eye's crossed i stay healthy and high-spirited so #3 doesn't take a fekkin lifetime.

andy, neil and indio - many thanx, fellas.

ade - yeah, peg-sellers used to do big business in the days folk mucked around in darkrooms.
mebbe that's where i picked it up from, since i did photography(pre-digital) for two years at college...that and i woz always treading on pages with my size elevens.

roland, john and gary - glad you like, thankyou.

sean - where you been?
you never got back to me about that meet-up, else i could've shown you all the best comics shops to rummage in, where no doubt you'd find copies of CHANNEL EVIL#1 crushed into some 50p bargain box in a shadowy corner.

try ORBITAL near covent garden, or MEGA CITY COMICS in camden.
