Infectious Reading

Since history lessons at junior school I've always loved woodcuts.

The expressionistic shapes and stark use of light and dark undoubtedly had an influence on the way i draw. I still look to them for inspiration, trying to bring that drama and immediacy to my art.

Suzanne knows me well...

A gift; The London Folio Society edition of Daniel Defoe's A Journal of the Plague Year , beautifully illustrated by Peter Pendrey, a rare treat indeed.

Let me share...
